Glory in the Mourning

This is not a how-to grieve or how to heal manual. Every one of us is too unique and our circumstances too individually varied to make such an approach useful. Instead, this is the chronicle of how we discovered healing when we thought healing was impossible after a car accident took the life of our daughter and severely injured out two sons. It is the story of how we found God’s glory in the midst of our mourning.

This book records the first part of our journey toward restoration. It is a collection of personal experiences and our responses as we processed what we had been handed by life.

Stuart began telling our story through daily emails that were sent to our family and friends and I wrote in a journal. Many of these are included in this book. I have also compiled articles, letters, and pictures to testify to the way God restores souls.

Although every experience of loss is unique, there may be common elements of our responses, and areas where we can be encouraged by the experience of another. Possibly it could bring light to the dark place where someone else now finds himself or herself. Maybe the book could help someone understand and care for their grieving friend.
